First Aid Training Policy
Booking Training
- Training sessions must be booked at least two (2) weeks in advance to maximize instructor availability.
- We will do our best to accommodate your preferred dates; however, instructor availability is not guaranteed. Alternative dates may be provided if required.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
- Written notice is required at least five (5) business days in advance (Mon–Fri, 9 AM–5 PM EST).
- Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 5 business days’ notice will be invoiced for the full cost of training based on the expected number of participants.
Participant Requirements
- A minimum of 8 participants is required per training session. If fewer than 8 attend, you will still be invoiced for 8.
- Training is capped at 18 participants per instructor.
- The required ratio is 1 instructor per 18 participants. If 19 or more participants are expected, an additional instructor will be required (additional fees apply).
Training Environment
- Training is delivered on-site at your workplace or designated facility provided by the client.
- The training room must comfortably accommodate all participants, with adequate tables, chairs, and clear floor space for practical skills demonstrations.
- The instructor will require a smart board, TV with HDMI connection, or PowerPoint projector.
- A $35 per vehicle, per day parking fee will apply unless complimentary parking is arranged prior to the course.
- It is important that the space is spacious enough to allow for all course activities, including floor-based CPR practice.
Training Organization
- All training is delivered by Rescue 7–certified instructors.
- We exclusively use Rescue 7 course material, which is recognized across Canada for compliance and quality.
Rural/Remote Training Locations
- Rural/remote locations are defined as areas outside of urban centres where the population is dispersed at a low density.
- Training in these areas may incur additional travel and accommodation fees.
- Please contact us prior to booking for full details if this applies to your site.
Standard First Aid (Blended) Courses
- After booking, we will request the names and email addresses of all expected participants.
- Each participant will receive an email with online course access.
- The online portion (approx. 5–8 hours) may be completed at each participant’s own pace.
- Automated reminders will be sent until the online portion is completed.
- The online training must be completed prior to the in-class session.
- Participants who do not complete the online portion cannot attend the in-class session and will still be invoiced.
50% SCHEDULING DEPOSIT
- When requesting to book a training, you have the option to pay for the full amount or pay a 50% deposit.
- The deposit is required in order to ensure the availability of the instructor.
- The remaining balance is due after the course has been completed and will be adjusted accordingly based on the actual number of participants.
