Beginning in the 2026 to 2027 school year, students across the province will have the opportunity to learn CPR and how to use an AED through the CardiacCrash program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The goal of the program is simple but incredibly important. Give students the knowledge and confidence to respond when every second matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cardiac arrest can happen anywhere and often occurs during ordinary everyday moments. In many cases, the first person nearby is not a healthcare professional or emergency responder. It is a teacher, student, coworker, family member, or bystander. This reality is exactly why CPR and AED education matters so much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Early CPR and AED Use Matters<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Out of hospital cardiac arrest survival rates remain low across Canada.
