MS Society of Canada Logo

First aid Canada is proud to provide volunteer first aid services and supplies for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, MS Bike Tours. In 2011, the five MS Bike Tours in Ontario had over 3000 participants and raised over $2 million to help in the research to end MS. The funds raised allow the MS Society of Canada to continue research into the cause and cure of multiple sclerosis and provide services for those living with MS.

Multiple sclerosis is a complex disease. While it is most often diagnosed in young adults, aged 15 to 40, we know that it affects children, some as young as two years old. The impact is felt by family, friends and by the community. MS is unpredictable, affecting vision, hearing, memory, balance and mobility. Its effects are physical, emotional, financial, and last a lifetime. There is no cure.

Help End MS.

“I would like to thank you again for partnering with our Bike Tour, as it is the support from companies such as First Aid Canada that is instrumental to our success as a fundraising event. Without you, the difficulty of achieving our fundraising goals would be much greater”

ALS Ontario Logo

First aid Canada is proud to partner with ALS Ontario to provide volunteer first aid service and supplies for the Hike for ALS and Family Day.

ALS Ontario is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing the necessary equipment and support services for people living with ALS as well as to provide funding to the ALS Society of Canada towards research for a cure.

ALS, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis or Lou Gehrig's disease, is a rapidly progressive and fatal neuromuscular disease characterized by degeneration of a select group of nerve cells and pathways (motor neurons) in the brain and spinal cord. This loss of motor neurons leads to progressive paralysis of the voluntary muscles.

To find out more about ALS and ALS Ontario, and how to donate, please visit their website: http://alsont.ca/

“I’m pleased to report that more donations have come in the last couple days and our total now stands at $83,532!  This is an increase of $11,000 over last year - awesome. Thank you so much for volunteering your time to cover first aid. I’m sure the person with the popped blister was very happy for your service - and we’re all thankful that nothing more serious happened!”

- Christine Kiby, Events Manager, ALS Ontario
